JANOSKA ENSEMBLE GOES HOLLYWOOD
From Bratislava to Hollywood!

At the Viva Musica! festival in 2015 they sold out Bratislava’s Old Market Hall. Since then they have given hundreds of concerts on three continents, successfully completed concert tours in America and Asia, issued a debut CD on the label of the prestigious German recording company Deutsche Grammophon, for which they received a golden disc, and performed the world premiere of the first part of the Janoska Symphony, entitled Bratislava!, with the Wiener Symphoniker in Vienna’s Musikverein. The Janoska Ensemble was founded in 2013 by the brothers Ondrej, Roman and František Janoska, along with their brother-in-law Julius Darvas. Their music is based on classical music, which in their inimitable fashion – Janoska-style – they combine with other musical genres such as jazz, pop, film music and world music. They give concerts mainly abroad, and so their appearances in Slovakia are always special occasions! Their performance at the Viva Musica! festival will be no exception: on July 12, 2018 they will appear with their new project From Bratislava to Hollywood!
